{"id":340,"date":"2020-11-17T07:41:27","date_gmt":"2020-11-17T15:41:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mrmd.com\/blog\/?p=340"},"modified":"2020-11-17T07:41:42","modified_gmt":"2020-11-17T15:41:42","slug":"12-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mrmd.com\/blog\/2020\/11\/17\/12-years\/","title":{"rendered":"12 Years"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I moved back to LA 12 years ago today\u2014November 17, 2008. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s a different world now, than it was then \u2026 at least it feels different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And not everything that&#8217;s happened between then and now has been desirable, or even tolerable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I still can&#8217;t really imagine living elsewhere and feeling quite at home as I do here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In many ways I wish that weren&#8217;t the case \u2026 I miss being near my family, every day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anywhere else I&#8217;ve lived though, I constantly feel like I *ought* to be in LA\u2014like, the feeling of missing out on being where I belong, and just biding my time till I can get back.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I moved back to LA 12 years ago today\u2014November 17, 2008.
